Walking.
It Really is That Good For You.
No matter where you start from, or how long it's been since you've done it, walking is easily one of the best things you can do for your health.
Just 10 minutes a day can help you think better, relate better, and feel more connected to the world around you. It can even lower your risk for things like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
That’s why, on November 8, we’re asking Texans everywhere to get outside and walk together for 10 minutes at 10am. All across Texas, we’ll be taking steps toward leading healthier lives and building healthier communities.
Pledge to Walk
You can register as an individual or create/join a team on behalf of your neighborhood, workplace, or school.
It’s completely free to participate any way you do it.
It's Even Better Together
Some forms of walking require a little more coordination. Create a team and organize a walk around your neighborhood, workplace, or school. You can invite people to join you directly from your team page or use our free tools to help you spread the word.
